Action list from JF Installation meeting - 6 March 2008 ------------------------------------------------------- A-frame : - The machining of the A-frames is finished - The layers of lead and stainless steel for the feet are under fabrication. (Bernard Brunel) - The A-frame test devices is under design (Wim) - Survey of the A-frame will be order (Raphael) to get the final geometry before welding. - Calculation note shall be issued soon. (Dimi) - The welding materials (water cut plates, filler) are delivered. The welding can start as soon as Alain is free. JFC1 : - The concept of the positioning system in between the monobloc and the JFC1 is validated. Few modifications, as the reinforcement of the shear pins, and Z stoppers will be integrated . (Petr) Platform : - the grease pad system, already mounted on the cylinder looks like fitting better to our needs. Jan shall investigate the following points. - range of adjustment (in the plane and also vertically) - overall dimensions - integration inside of a permaglide plate (2.5 mm) - The drawings of all necessary material needed for the assembly (profiles, corner profile, plates, etc.) shall be produced. Dimi will take care of the order and the watercuting. Jacks : - It has been agreed that due to the possible angle between the jacks and the contact surface of the JFS hexagonal pieces, swivel heads need to be integrated at the extremity of the piston. The design of the Jack extension shall be finalised (Jan). The order the materials (cylinder) and accessories (swivel heads) will be done by Raphael. Procedure : - During the meeting it has been pointed out that the HF truck is not reaching the nominal position of the hexagonal piece. On side A, it is away by 84+30=114 mm and on side C by 35+20=55mm. As the truck is perpendicular to the beam axis and the adjustment gap between the rails of the truck and the JF beam is less than 10mm. To reach the nominal position it seams that the only solution is to move the truck by the required distance - the solution foreseen is to offset the rails (distance between bolts in Z direction). This solution shall be quantitatively detailed (Petr) - The consequence of such offset shall be studied in term of conflict between HF truck and EO chambers. (Tatiana)
